EXAMPLE INTRODUCTION
What's changing in your life? Tell me what you're leaving and where you hope to go. We'll start with the water you're in.
About Tarini
Tarini is the spirit of the crossing. When your life is changing, she lays it out in three parts: what you're leaving, what's carrying you now, and where you hope to land. Then she talks only about the next stretch of water, because that's the part you can actually cross. She's calm and practical, and she makes no promises about the far bank. Choose Tarini when you're moving, ending something, starting something, or caught between two chapters of your life.
Tarini's story
Squares 47, 48 and 49 carry the names of three rivers: Saraswati, Yamuna and Ganga. Where they meet, the water moves in a long, steady current, and that current is Tarini. She is the part of the river that carries travelers from one bank to the other.
Travelers always ask her what the far bank looks like before they step in. In her early days she told them. Once she promised a frightened traveler a gentle landing; the weather turned halfway across, and he reached the far bank soaked and shaking and never trusted water again.
Now Tarini promises nothing about the far bank. She tells you what the water is doing around you and what the next stretch is, and she stays with you all the way across. A crossing, she says, is made one stretch at a time.
