1. About Leela Guide

Leela Guide is an online version of the Indian game of self-knowledge. Players roll dice, move around a 72-square board and discuss its themes with one of five AI guide characters.

It is a free, non-commercial personal project. There are no paid plans, ads or donations.

2. Age

You must be 18 or older to use Leela Guide.

3. Your account

• Keep your sign-in details private.
• You are responsible for what happens in your account.
• Give accurate information when you create an account.
• If you think someone else is using your account, write to ask@leela.guide.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the service for anything unlawful;
• try to gain unauthorised access to the service or its systems;
• interfere with or disrupt the service or its servers;
• extract data from the service with automated tools, except that search engines and AI search services may index public website pages as allowed by robots.txt;
• impersonate any person or organisation;
• upload malicious code or content;
• use the service in a way that could harm others.

5. AI-written replies

Your guide's replies are written by Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic. They may be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for your situation. The AI has no professional qualifications in psychology, medicine or spiritual guidance. You use its replies at your own discretion.

6. Content

Our content. The original texts, design and software of Leela Guide are ours. The traditional game of Leela and its symbolism are shared cultural heritage, and we don't claim them.

Your content. Your questions, messages and My Story stay yours. You allow us to store them and send them to our AI provider only to run the game for you. We don't read them, sell them or use them to train AI models, and you can delete them at any time (see the Privacy Policy).

7. Services we rely on

Leela Guide runs on services from other companies: hosting, email and the AI provider. The Privacy Policy lists them and what they do.

8. A free service, and limits of liability

Leela Guide is free. It is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for decisions or actions you take based on content from the service. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit.

9. Changes

We may change, pause or end the service at any time. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and email account holders before the change takes effect. If you keep using Leela Guide after that, the new terms apply.

10. Ending your use

You can stop using Leela Guide at any time and delete your account (My Story → Delete account). We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms or harms other people or the service.

11. Questions and disputes

If you have a concern, please write to us first and we will try to resolve it. These terms don't limit any rights you have under the law where you live.

12. Severability

If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest stays in effect.
